LECTURES:
Each year we offer a series of lectures on topics ranging from Textiles, to period design, and even fads that came, went, and are now resurging as collectible trends. The lectures are diverse, ranging from textile designs, craftsman period design, art trends, period design clothing, linoleum, bakelite, and other manufactured processes.
THIS YEAR WE PRESENT:
Saturday @ 12pm - Kitchen & Bath: Remodeling the Historic Home
- Lecture by Karen L. Hovde -Historic Interior Designer

Remodeling can be difficult for homeowners, especially if you have a historic home. Understanding how to choose the appropriate plumbing ,electrical and surface materials will be discussed. How to create the space that will work for our current lifestyle is not always obvious. Images of beautiful homes will help illustrate the use of light, color and texture.
Karen will share simple procedures, organizational methods and material samples, to help you through the process. You will be inspired to create the kitchen or bathroom of your dreams.
This presentation will assist the Historic homeowner, whether your project is Craftsman, Deco or Mid-Century Modern.
